Default 2 GB CompactFlash Cards

Haven't purchased compactflash cards in some time, and I see now that 2 GB models are down to about $100. That's progress.

Kingston ElitePro is what I ordered.

What i have heard, they should be good.

I have no experience using That brand, i am only using Lexar with my Nikon camera.

I use their Ultra II and their Extreme III cards.

I think Lexar's are called Pro, and SanDisc's are Extreme and Ultra. Which do you use? Do you like them? EVER had any problems with them?

Thanks.

Sorry, i meant Sandisk, I had another brands name in my head when writing it.

I am using the Ultra II and Extreme III and they works great.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with occassional brain fades!

Thanks for the history, too. I've only used Lexar, but can get a good deal on Sandisc at Costco.

I just got a pair of SanDisk 2 gig cards and I am happy! I only use RAW so I got long write times and massive files. The 4 gigs are out now too and in a year when they cost less than a mansion in Saudi I wouldn't mind a couple of them.
96 RAW files per card now...Whoo Hoo!!

don´t forget that it is much safer to use several smaller cvards like the 1 Gb or 2 Gb cards than using one or more 4 Gb cards.

If the card gets broken, then you stand there with no photos at all, but if you have the distributed among a lot of cards, then you only loose an small amount of photos.

Also, using several cards is an safer way when it comes to theft and people/military that gets mad because you photo something not allowed and then they take your card. They you at least have the other cards available.
