You can EASILY push that further as long as you have adequate cooling. I as well have the C2D E6600. I have it running at 3.15(350FSB x9). Tempted to push it further as I know it can take it(briefly had it at 3.3 stable but decided I was tempting fate and backed it down a bit).

Thanks, Rick! I'm running the stock cooling right now but I just upgraded to a Q6600 and I'm waiting for a heat sink/fan from Sidewinder to push things up to 3G or so and see how it runs,

Results with the Q6600 at 2.76:

8-bit: 11 sec.
16-bit: 15 sec.

Nice improvement!

Bill

Guys, I think this was mentioned earlier in the thread, just want to make it clear again. By no means is this a real benchmark nor is it even a good indication on how powerful your PC is. There are not enough controls and too many things can influence the results.

Well I know it isn't a proper benchmark, but I went along with the gag anyhow. Intel 3GHz Core Duo, 2 GB, 40 seconds.

I have an older dell laptop Pentium M, 1.60 ghz 398 mhz with 2 gigs of ram. Ran it using CS3 and it took 1 min 34 sec. PSCS took 2 min 17 sec. PS7 took 2 min 19 sec. Interesting.
