78 seconds on a P4 3.2GHz (HT) with 2GB RAM.

I'll have to try this on my work PC - quad-core with 4GB RAM ...

I wonder if it varies in different Photoshop versions? I'm using CS2.

You guys made me go dig up a stopwatch just to test this.

18.8 seconds. Yeah, you read that right. Eighteen point eight seconds.

Built my own monster computer.
Intel Q6600
Asus Commando Motherboard
nVidia G-Force 7900GS Video Card (I had it lying around)
4 Gig of RAM
Two 500 Gig eSATA/300 HD's
PSCS3 etc. etc. etc.

Yeah, I'm a geek. To be honest, I was always wondering how my computer performed against other PC's. I guess now I know.

Thanks.

A photograph is like a joke. If you have to explain it, it just isn't that good.

Believe it or not, I don't have it overclocked. It's running as it was intended by Intel. However, I know that I can overclock it by quite a bit.
Just for giggles, I checked the temp yet again today out of my own curiosity. After my system had been running for over four hours, the chip was at 84 deg. F and the Motherboard was at 96.5 degrees.

And no, I am not using the standard cooling that came with the chip. It's an Asus cooling fan, and I have the Antec Nine Hundred case. It's a gamers case, but I don't game. I wanted to make sure it ran cool. With as many fans as this thing has, it is surprisingly quiet. The case has four fans, and a large hole in the side of the case if I wanted to add another fan.

Here's a pic of the cooling unit. I just snapped it with my G2 since my PC is in too precarious a position to get it with anything else.

Bring it on guy. I know this belongs in the movie quote thread, but "Laugh while you can, monkey boy"

Just so the rest of you don't get the wrong idea, 00silvergt and I have a good rapport.
