Default Monitor resolution

Just got the Dell 24 inch. monitor and I'm struggling with resolution.

If I put it on it's native resolution (1920x1200) online photos become stretched vertically. If I put it on anything else other things come up, like somewhat funny fonts.

What do you suggest in that case.

I have the same monitor but no "stretching". I can't envision what you're seeing. Screenshot?

Is it ok to grab a photo from one of the galleries here. I'll leave a note about it to that person.

I think it doesn't matter. You are going to show your internet browser, displaying a picture (in PhotoCamel, of course), correct?

Sorry guys for the false alarm. The photos that raised the red flag were in a photo contest I participate in. There, there are no rules for photo dimension, that might have caused the false perception.

Landscape photos (orientation) in the Camel look ok, but the vertical ones need a closer look, but they seem ok at a quick glance.

Sorry to bother you guys, and thanks for the quick help. Well appreciated.

Which of the two DELL 24 inch monitors did you two purchase. I just got mine yesterday and I am rather impressed with what I see. One of the Dell monitors is the Samsung 245BW and the other one is made by Ben-Q and goes as DELL #WSP 2407 HC". I purchased the latter as I wanted to put the sound bar on this and the Samsung does not take the sound bar. I use my monitor with my computer for jobs other than photo editing.

Thanks for the info,
Tom

Hi Tom, it was 2407 or something like that.

Agree, it's a wonderful monitor.
