Default Your favorite browser

After having an issue with Firefox 17.0 (described here), I used Chrome to access The Camel. What a nice surprise. Chrome is so fast and responsive that I'm thinking of making it my default browser. Quite an impressive performance.

The only thing missing from Chrome (so far) is an "email Link" item. Personally, I use that quite a bit to exchange interesting articles with family & friends.

So what is your default browser.

I've switched to Chrome. IE was bloating and stalling. I like the spell checker on the fly but I miss having Opanda EXIF viewer at hand. Chrome still bloats but it doesn't seem to stall. I blame Facebook for the RAM problem.

Found another drawback to Chrome.

When check-spelling a word it forces you go to Google. In Firefox, you can check and correct a word within the browser/the text you are typing.

I like IE10 and Chrome. I use Firefox strictly for social websites like twitter, MySpace, and Facebook. I use Chrome for forums and my daily checked sites like Nikonrumors etc. I use IE10 for news and weather sites.

I use Opera exclusively, many nice features and better shortcuts and customizations. It's a trailblazing browser, the first with tabs, the first with speed-dial, sync'd bookmarks between desktop and phone etc etc.

The four things I can't live without that no other browser seems to do:

1. single-button shortcuts. I use Z and X for back/forward.
2. hiding the tab bar. I know what windows are open, and the next feature seals the deal:
3. hold right-button and use the wheel to flick between open tabs. A window pops up listing all open pages and you flick between 'em quickly.
4. Hide all navigation buttons. With Opera's mouse gestures and keyboard shortcuts I can blaze through pages as fast as I can think about doing so. Actually moving the mouse across the screen to hit a button is so inefficient and wasteful it makes me angry.

And that's why I can't use Chrome. It's a fast, tidy browser but it can't be made to operate as fast as I do. Don't like firefox, and no one likes IE. ^_^

Yup. I like iE9 & IE10. IE is still the most used browser out there.
