You say you had thousands of NTFS errors? does your machine use one or more solid state disks for the operating system?

Gday, Pat.

The OS is in an SSD drive (C:\), and there is only one SSD in the machine.

If you're still having problems with this machine, I would suggest doing a reinstall to a spinning disk as SSDs don't have a rock-solid reputation yet. When they die, they apparently become read-only.

Im running 4 ssds with no problems - some over a year. (ocz and intel)
