Default Slideshow software for a Mac

Calling all camels with a Mac!

What slideshow software do you use? I had wondered about Keynote. Can anyone give me feedback on this presentation software - or any others if they are good?

TIA

Martin

Having recently converted to the world of MAC I was in the same spot. I found a software called "Foto Magico" that works pretty well.

Thanks for your rapid response. Have you had FMagico long? The reviews that I read were not very complimentary!

Please let me know whether you encounter similar problems.

I purchased the Home Version and do not recall what I paid but it was no where near what the reviews were stating. To this point, and I admit I have not created to many shows, I have not had any issues with the software. It is simple to use and I feel provides the results I am looking for.

Thanks for your reply.

I have just Googled "Home Version" slideshow and find that several different manufacturers pop up! Are you referring to Foto Magico Home Version?

Once photography enters your bloodstream, it is like a disease.

Software: Too numerous to list but my most used utility is ShiftN for perspective correction

Gear: Canon G12, no tripod, no lenses, no flash, no remote, no cases or bags!

Lightroom does a great job at slide shows. I would also try imovie.

Thanks for these suggestions, Craig.

I've never been able to come to terms with Lightroom but I'll investigate iMovie.

Are you looking to make a web slideshow or dvd slideshow? You can make them with Adobe Bridge cs5 for the web or you could use Adobe Encore CS5.

By slideshow do you just mean having you pics scroll one into another? If so have you tried iPhoto?

No, I want something a bit more sophisticated. At present I am working with Keynote and think that when I get the hang of it, it will serve me well.
