Default Superzoom question

So I've been searching around the internet but would rather get some input from photo enthusiasts rather than the typical website review. My wife is graduating with her masters in a couple weeks and I just learned I won't be allowed to take my dslr to the ceremony with me but need to get pics for family that can't be there. The ceremony is in a large football stadium and it looks like I will be seated a good distance from the stage. I am looking into the superzoom bridge cameras but not sure which would be the best buy. Being as this won't get used much other than this (probably give it to my daughter so she isn't always stealing my wife's dslr) I don't want to drop a lot of money on something like the Panasonic FZ1000 even though that would probably be my best option. What would you suggest in the sub $400 range? Right now I'm leaning towards the Nikon P610 but if anyone knows of a better option please let me know what it is and why.

Thanks in advance.

Olympus Stylus 1 has been "replaced', but is still a good little camera, probably can be had for $250 to $450. I like it. Nice look and nice little camera. It could be used later in life

Canon SX60 is close to the price....

Well I ended up going a totally different route because I came across a deal I just couldn't pass up. Nikon J1, open box, unused, for $64.00 and I'm going to use the remaining funds I had budgeted to pick up a long lens for the ceremony. Thanks again for the input.
