Default Pansonic Lumix DMC-FS62 red

Hi folks, I bought this camera yesterday second hand for just 85 euro. It is a great performer and can recommend it to anyone who wants a compact wich is easy to use , got a great stableliser and has a good lens (leica).

it is thin and the body feels like metal but just around 115 gram it is light to carry and it has a 10.1 megapixel resolution with manual choice of focus points (9/1/ face) and manual iso and manual white balance. it has a inteligent auto mode wich i think is handy when you hand over the camera to sombody who doenst know anything about photography for a snap shot of you on holiday or so.

It will join my Nikon D80 as a light and powerfull companion .

This ends the first impressions review of this fantastic little camera.

the points of Dirk:

easy to use of 5
photo quality out 5
stableliser out 5
build qulity out 5

i can recommend it and yes i am a critical user/buyer

The panasonic Lumix dmc-fs62 can take SDHC and SD. Capacity up to 32 gb with sdhc . the build qualty is very good , the reaction speed is very good also and it can take movies with sound in high quality.

the battery lasts for 370 photo's with out flash the proclaimed photo's are real.
for dummies it has got the intelligent auto mode that detects what kind of subject you shoot.

On the last liberation day in wageningen a friend of mine tested the panasonic and he was very surprised of the quality of the panasonic .

cheers dirk

So now after about a half year of use i am still hooked on this very fine digital friend.
I have a large collection of gear and the lumix dmc-fs 62 still surprises me time after time
it has the IA button ,. even a complete NONO can make a photo in that mode.

In some reviews they say it is not fast , well i find it fast enough for most of the tasks to acomplish i won't meassure it against dlsr's because that would not been fair

some examples of what it could do

Berlin Curry Wurst with fries , salad ..

How often do you have to feed that to the camera ?

Wouldn't it be easier if it just had a battery ?

PS: nice write-up and follow-up
