Default Fine Drink

Some more fun with a liquid theme. I feel this is the best section to post the image. CC always welcome.

I'd like to see the camera level. Boiling the water right before you make the ice cubes makes ice that's not as cloudy. Otherwise you can use acrylic ice cubes available here Ice House - Acrylic Ice | Trengove Studios Inc

Thanks for the tip on the Ice. I actually liked the cloudy ice, any particular reason for not having the ice cloudy in a commercial sense ? Obviously I would like to make sure the clients like this and not just to my liking only.

There are several reasons not to use cloudy ice:

Cloudy ice looks grey and dirty and is unappetizing in a drink.

Clear ice transmits the color of the drink and if you use carved acrylic or molded glass ice cubes you also have the benefit of the interesting angles and facets of the ice cubes which sparkle as they catch the light.

Carved acrylic ice cubes from Trengove Studios come in different sizes and shapes so you can fit them to the size and shape of the glass.

Finally, acrylic or glass ice cubes don't melt and dilute the color of the drink or change shape and move around in the glass as the shoot progresses. They're much easier to work with.

Here's a shot using acrylic ice cubes. Don't you think grey cloudy ice cubes would look bad in this shot?

thank for all the info and taking the time to comment. They do look good, and I was thinking you would notice that they were fake. I will make a plan and get some of these soon. Again thanks.

I like the colors and sharpness, but what is bothering me is that the image is tilted to the topleft.

Those are very artistic cubes, but if you google "fake ice" you will find some for a lot less money. You will also find some DIY ones.

Ah, the internet, telling folks about fake ice, next they will be telling them about dulling spray. Soon we will have no secrets left
