Default Machinery Shoot

Had a shoot today at a site that manufactured equipment for processing plastic components.

Nice shot. Reminds me of a former life as a service engineer for a packaging company

That is a sharp shot with good exposure and vibrant colors. It looks; however, that there are some dust specks or metal filings on the machinery especially on the ring near the gears. The photo still makes me want to buy that piece of machinery what ever it does.

Thanks, folks. Once the client picks the final shots, I'll go clean up things like dust specs.

Nice job, Zemlin.

I'm sure there were space constraints dictating where you can place your lighting on a shoot like this. If you can get a softbox overhead on a boom you can better illuminate the horizontal surfaces such as the top gear ring. Another larger softbox on camera right, slightly behind but not in view of the camera, would create clean highlights on the right side of the vertical pieces.

This looks like it should be a 3 soft box setup to me.
