Razor and Knife
I took some photos of a new knife and a straight razor. I made the scales (handle) of the razor out of koa wood since the original was cracked when I got it.

I shot these with a 100 mm Macro lens with one soft box overhead and and slightly to the rear and a reflector opposite the main light shooting over it with the camera. These don't really fit in the still life category since they aren't really arrangements of objects. C & C would be appreciated.

I'm a big time knife collector and always looking to improve my photos of them. You did an excellent job and that razor is absolutely beautiful. Your photos beat the pants off of mine. I really need to try your method, it shows them so much better.

Here's one of mine, and after seeing your's I'm not so proud of my thank you for posting this, I need the lesson!

K's coming your way for such a great post!

I don't often get a chance to drop into this area of the forum but am always rewarded by beautifully shot items. These are really well done.

Super shots particularly of the razor. A thing of beauty.

It's nice to see another knife enthusiast on here. The shots look great as well as the handles on that straight razor.

I'm not only impressed with the photos, but am blown away by the fact that you made the handle of the razor.

I really appreciate woodwork, and you have done a first class job!
