IS there a reason why you didn't clean up the the red veins in their eyes? Maybe it's these web versions but the shots look over sharpened.

Strong work John. Can you outline your post processing?

I see veins in the eyes as being fairly natural, everyone has them, so totally eliminating them looks un-natural to me. Sometimes I will minimize them but did not do so here.

In reducing the file sizes to be posted I just ran a little action I made that reduces the file size and also adds one final sharpening which really was not needed, so they may be a little oversharp.

Thanks for commenting.

The name is Glen, . As you may have guessed these do have quite a bit of PP. I will try to get something written up and post to give you an idea.

Thanks to all for the feedback and kind comments.

I like both images however the second one appears to have the catch light bouncing off the edges of contact lenses.

Oops I guess John Mediros is the jeweler.

The reason I ask about the post processing is that I am currently working on a spec jewelry shoot. No models. Takes a lot of post to make it super slick. Wondering if that is the norm.

One thing I learned early on in my career, especially as a commercial shooter, is that what I liked didn't carry as much weight as what the client liked. I think if you look closely at ads featuring a close up of the models face, you will not see red veins in their eyes. AT least not as red as the ones you have here. No, I don't like the look of pure white eyes either but I would at least reduce the saturation of the reds here and let them blend in a bit more. The readers eyes will always go to the models eyes first.

A great tip I learned when I first started, if I noticed red veins like this. Just have the model put in a few drops of Visine.
