Glen,
You've got nice light on the model in these shots. The first shot could use a reflector on camera left to add some specular highlights on dark areas of the necklace on the right side of the model's neck. Larger diffused light sources would better show the detail of the jewelry. More DOF is needed to make the necklace sharp and in focus. Showing the models armpit does not make an attractive pose.

The second shot has better light on each piece of jewelry and the model looks good as well. I'd like to see all of the fingers on the model's left hand and I think she should be looking into the camera, making eye contact with the viewer.

Other than these suggestions, I think you did a good job with a difficult combination of subjects.

I may be totally off base here.
#1 I think it would have been better if the model's eyes were looking down at the ring rather than at the camera ... Head position etc seems to point down to the ring but the eyes are looking straight.

#2 Eyes are looking to the left (almost hand caught in the cookie jar) might work better with the eyes facing the camera.

Just my $0.02

Wow, this is first-class to my eyes. I like the first one better because of the model's expression. Lighting is fantastic, though, I think.
