Default MeFoto RoadTrip Travel Tripod

Anyone ever use the MeFoto line of tripods, like the RoadTrip Travel version (in any of the colors, as I doubt it makes a difference)...?

MeFOTO RoadTrip Travel Tripod Kit (Blue) A1350Q1B B&H Photo

If so, how is, or was, it? Seems light enough and can hold 17 pounds, in theory. Curious minds want to know.....

I've got one. I like it. Light, holds my D5100 & 70-300mm Tamron solid as a rock. It holds the D610 & Sigma 50-500mm pretty well but I try to not extend the center post with that combo if I can help it, even though it will hold it in a pinch. I'm impressed with the ball head it comes with. I have yet to tighten it more than just snug & neither camera slumps over in portrait or landscape positions. Fits fine on my backpack. I have the aluminum version. Carbon fiber would be nice, but I don't hike often enough to justify.

BTW: I have the blue one.

Ditto pretty much everything Gary said, including the color, except that I don't have his camera. Or lens. But it does just fine with my OM-Ds.

A magazine in the UK (Photoplus) has recently done a gear test on travel tripods.
The MeFOTO Roadtrip A135OQ1 came out as the best on test with 93%.
The only negative thing they said was that the extra twist lock on each of the five section legs can make adjustments a little slower.
