Tried that but a message came up stating that it couldn't find the card to format it. If it can't FIND the card then formatting isn't an option.

Not necessarily, it is a new card and is performing normally nopw.
I took these just a few minutes ago then formatted the card in the camera, all appears normal
It appears from a message from the manufacture of the card that it was corrupted possibly by a low battery while transferring info. but their Format program seems to have corrected the proble, I'll keep an eye on it though.

Do you know the name of this flower. It looks very much like a plant I had in my garden when I lived in the Bay Area. Very obviously a monoecious, with very distinctly different "male" and "female" blossoms. Very wonderful fragrance. It died of neglect under my not very green thumb.

It's one of a dozen varieties of Hybiscus I have on my farm. They bloom year around also, lovely flowers. I'm a terrible horticulturist, even my PLASTIC plants die in the house.
If you look just right of the pool you'll see the shrub that the flower is on.
