Default Trying to decide on a backpack

I need a backpack for my 7D and Canon 500/4 -- want room to grow -- second body maybe ... 70-200/2.8 ... accessories ...

Need to take on airplane.

Looking now at Gura Gear 26L vs. 32L
Possibly Loewe 500AW

Think Tank or Kata? Which one?

Thoughts? Will 26L be big enough?

Thanks.

The Tamrac looks nice but boy is it pricey! Got a good deal on a used Lowepro Flipside 500. We'll see how that works out.

I have and like the Lowepro Nature Trekker AWII. I don't think its made anymore but you can find them on ebay. There are lots of good high end bags these days. The waist harness system was important to me. When the pack is filled with my gear and I'm hiking a bit, it has to rest very well on my hips with a solid waist support system, which it does.

I have a small lowepro (200) which I like. I'm not spending a fortune on this one so, if it doesn't work out, I can try another.

I have a KATA 3N1 30), and absolutely will never go back to a standard backpack. These are brilliant bags! I get more gear in this than I did with a previous (LowePro) shoulder bag that was much bigger externally, and yet have everything easily accessible and well protected. The bags are light and easy to use, and have a rain cover, too, so your gear is safe in any weather.

A little while ago I replaced my old Lowepro Nova5 with a Manfrotto Veloce VII, it holds a lot of equipment and is comfortable to carry, also It doesn't LOOK like a camera bag!

Thanks for suggestions, everyone. I was able to get a Lowepro Flipside 500AW at a very good price in mint condition, used, and have had a few days to play with it. It seems that it will do the job very nicely. It fits my 7D mounted on the 500 with a 1.4x and has room for much more. It is well built and comfortable.
