Default Lowepro is my favorite bag because...

I have four Lowepro bags; the oldest is a Stealth Reporter D300 AW. The others include a Fastpack 350, an Urban Photo Sling 250, and a Pro Messenger 160 AW. Each serves a different purpose. I have found them all to be of excellent quality, design and construction.

The Stealth Reporter D300 AW was purchased five years ago and has seen plenty of hard use. Recently one of the buckles broke on the shoulder strap. One quick email to Lowepro, and I was in contact with a "Product Specialist" by the name of Maury Cohen. He was polite, responsive, concerned, and...best of all...efficient! My original email was on a Sunday; his response came in on Monday. I answered a couple of questions, and by the next working day he had an entire new shoulder strap in the mail to me, first class, and for free!

Thanks Maury! And Thanks, Lowepro! I remain a very, very happy customer!

I had a similar experience years ago with my Mini Trekker. The male waist buckle fell off somewhere while I was in Athens airport. I wasn't wearing the bag so I didn't know at the the time that it fell off. When I got back home, I called LowePro and the situation was handled quickly, a new buckle was sent to me at no charge. I was helped by a fellow by the name of Myron (didn't get his last name). I wonder if it's the same person that helped you and I and one of has his first name wrong.

I selected a Mini Trekker for traveling because it was lighter in weight than many similar sized backpacks.

For shooting, I prefer the Domke F-2. However, I am going to travel to Europe next month and will use the F-2 as my only bag...

Let us know how it performs! i used my new ProMessenger 160 AW on a recent trip to Chicago and found it to be an excellent bag to carry my D4, 14-24 and 24-70, plus assorted smaller items. I could have crammed in a lens like the 85 1.4G, as well, but that would have been very tight.

I particularly like the configuration and the way the flap can be folded to improve ease-of-access while shooting, and then unfolded to make the bag more secure at other times.

|I've been using my Trekker AW for a couple of years now and it is made for 1 camera and 3 lenses, yet in my recent trip to Europe, It held my D4, Sony camcorder, 4 lenses, an SB-900, 4 FlexTT5, a whole set of gels and 4 sets of batteries and a 2nd battery for the D4.

I so wish I could have used my X300 Pro Roller as my carry on to Europe!

All the bags I have are Lowepro. Their customer service has been incredible any time I need any assistance. I know other companies are good as well, but they have earned my loyalty and I would not buy from another company.

Current Lowepro Gear:
Pro Roller X200
Vertex AW200
S&F Belt, Harness & multiple pouches
