Default Mobile Backup Suggestions

I would like to know what would be a good mobile backup device to take along on travels.

I bought myself an Epson P2000 on Ebay for doing exactly what you want to do. Lets me download and view the photos on a larger screen and empty the drives.

I use the Epson P3000 Multimedia Storage Viewer. Not only does it have 40G of storage, but it also has a real sharp 4 inch monitor and can view RAW files. You can also get models with more storage.

I use a 1 TB Samsung external laptop hard drive.

When I import the images to Lightroom in my laptop they are automatically backed up to the external hard drive. Only when I have two copies saved, one on the laptop hard drive and one on the external hard drive, do I reformat the memory card in my camera (never do this in a card reader).

Finally I think I'll opt for the laptop and an external HD for backups.

Thanks all.

I forgot to add that I would get a 2 TB external drive now. The price difference isn't bad anymore and that way I would have room for a backup of my last couple of years of images that I could carry with me.
