Default Winter gloves for photography

Don't work for these people but got these for Christmas.
Just got back from a 3 hour outside photo trip and they were awesome.
Just thought I'd give you all some feedback.
Anyone else got gloves they like?

And here I was all excited that my new tripod legs have a bit of rubber grip on the upper section so I'm not gripping bare cold-soaked metal with my bare hand while shooting ice fishermen.

Those look pretty good Fran. I like the finger and thumb caps. I've been wearing either Under Armor or Nike foul weather golf gloves because they are thin and I maintain some tactile sensation. Thicker gloves would be warmer but too much bulk means trouble with the camera controls. Cutting the fingers out of gloves isn't a workable solution for me numb fingers are no better than gloved ones. We're done for cold weather assignments for this year, but I may have a look at these for next winter.

The finger and thumb cAps are thinner than the rest of the fingers so even if you use them on there is more tactile feel, but they keep your fingers warm when you flip them back on after having your fingers exposed.
Well worth the money even though not cheap.

I've used cold weather batting gloves too but these are better.

I've used light-weight gloves under mittens. The mittens can be slid off in a moment, and the light gloves are usually warm enough for most shooting. Tethering the mittens to a parka keeps them handy while you're using just the light gloves.

I've also recently bought pair of Freehands photo gloves and found them very helpful. Significant improvement over variety of gloves that I've tried in the past.
