I'd be very interested. Has anyone any idea of what kind of hikes/shoots they want to do?

My family and I started this whole thing because the last time we were in Yosemite, it was the end of summer, and there were no waterfalls running.

So, we are going to try to hit as many of the falls as we can. We just thought it would be nice to see if anyone else wants to go.

That does NOT mean that you have to tag along. We don't have to go out in one big group.
If there are other ideas, then by all means, check that out.
Wanna climb Half Dome? Go for it. I wouldn't make that trip. Not this year anyway.

Sorry my reply was a little abrupt yesterday. I was kind of in a hurry at the time.

We will be taking light hikes to several of the falls that can be accessed from the Valley Floor, as well as some of the valley views, Tunnel View, and whatever else strikes our fancy.
There is nothing set in stone as to where we are going, and what we are doing.

There are currently ten people confirmed, for spending at least two nights there in the condos that I posted in my earlier link.
There are also a few people who are going to be coming up for the day, most likely on Friday.
We'll have to think of a good meeting place and time for those folks to join up with us.
The parking lot for Bridalveil Falls is probably a good place.
Not too far off the valley floor, but not too far from the condos where people are staying.

On other notes, Rocky, did you get a camping spot? Should we expect you?
How about you Frank? Gonna make that drive from Vegas?

Folks, just for the record, I just looked and there are well over 50 campsites still available inside Yosemite National Park for the dates that we will be there.

This link takes you to The Recreation.Gov campground search.
Two campgrounds (with multiple sites in each) are still available. One is near the entrance of Highway 120 and the other is near the entrance of Highway 41.

Edit: That is of course, if camping is the way you want to go.

2nd Edit: Oh, and there are still plenty of the condos left too!

No problem. We'll just swing on by your place for the Smokey Mountains NP meetup in June.

Sorry this is so late.
It might be worthwhile checking the Yosemite View Lodge. It's on Hwy 140 immediately outside Yosemite NP (the closest entry to the valley). The river view rooms have cooking facilities and doorways to private decks that overlook the Merced River. The Cedar Lodge is only a little more than a mile further out and is slightly less expensive.
A good site for information on the park is: Yosemite National Park - Current Conditions (U.S. National Park Service)
I'm going to be there the weekend of Feb 20th.

Thanks for the info Gil, but there are already four rooms booked at the condos for this group so far.
It probably wouldn't do for us to all try to change our reservations now.
But I'll keep this in mind for the next trip.

I can't make it this year, but suggest a KOA campground (outside the Park) for camping cabins and RV spots. Sorry I can't make a live link, but try KOA.com, this should get you started.
