Paul,
I envy your composition.
I had a carbon toned image in my mind:

...well, not too contrived IMHO, the two shots were taken within seconds, her expression is her genuine expression at that moment, and I sort-of knew what she was, we had eye contact before...

In case anyone was wondering, I was taking a picture - not recovering from a night out in Amsterdam ;).

Another architecture shot from Rotterdam. Rotterdam has some very interesting buildings (in fact, seems like the whole of the Netherlands has interesting architecture :)).

Possibly it looks a bit abstract. To put it in context, this is the whole building.

On day two it rained and rained (and rained), so we got a little bit soaked - but that doesn't put off the intrepid Camel and we just shrugged it off and carried on regardless. We did though decide to take a boat trip through the canals of Amsterdam - a benefit of which was that we were sheltered so could dry off for a bit :).

While we were waiting to board, Max pointed out an interesting perspective with the very large and wide billboard across the canal (the building in the background is Centraal train station):

Water was everywhere - both in the canal and falling from the sky :).

There were plenty of opportunities to capture the contrast between the old and the new in Amsterdam, like this shot of the historic canal and construction in the distance.
