You can fly to Edmonton, and then take the train to Jasper. I will have my 8 passenger BoatUte there so don't worry about transport in the park.

do a search on Via Rail.

And the moment you get on board the train, RUN, to the observation car and claim you seat. And be inline early as there will be several old ladies that are their already.

About how much should this cost? I have no trouble with camping. Hitting a walmart type store and picking up a tent/sleeping bag for cheap.

If you share a tent spot, about $15 a night. It can get cold at night in Jasper, so a good warm sleeping bag is a good choice. Then just some groceries, flight and train to Jasper. You would want to do all your shopping in Edmonton. Jasper is EXPENSIVE to buy things.

Not too bad. So fly up the fourth, and train to jasper. Then jasper to edmonton and fly out on monday?
