Had a most interesting week experimenting. The White Balance settings are most interesting. I think they will need to be used with caution once I fully appreciate how they affect the image. The cloudy setting seems to give everything quite an orangy-red cast. I am also beginning to understand how to read the histogram information.
Experimented in the theatre where we were rehearsing our show. Shifting to the Incandescant setting worked brilliantly (oops, pun unintended!!!) The resulting image was very natural in colour, and the stage lighting did not adversly affect the shot.
My photographer friend was also present using his Nikon, it was really interesting comparing the way our cameras adjusted aperture and shutter speeds. He used a 2000 ISO rating, I used 1600.
I really must create my log book for ease of reviewing and learning how things work! Watch this space.....
