Default Specifically Pacific

Pacific Gulls.
These are a large resident gull spread thinly around our southern coast.

Fascinating how these birds evolve from their brown plumage to the snowy white of an adult Pacific Gull.

I have had a go at estimating their age - probably a bit hit and miss - but it may give you some idea.

Adult Pacific Gull.

Second Year.

Second or Third Year.

Juvenile Portrait.

Great series Mark. Pacific Gulls are 4 year gulls which means by the 4th year it's difficult to tell the difference between a juvenile and an adult

. These big gulls are lovely Darrell - so much more placid than those excitable Silver Gulls.
