Default Red Wattlebird

The Red Wattlebird (Anthochaera carunculata) is a native to southern Australia, it is the second largest species of Australian honeyeater.
This guy displays the red wattles, or dewlaps that hang from its cheeks. It is not called a Wattlebird because it feeds from the Australian wattle tree.
I suspect that I've captured him preening himself for a hot date, downunder it's the breeding season, the 'girls' are choosy and the competition is fierce!
