Partners in Flight estimates a global breeding population of 1.2 million, with 99% spending part of the year in the U.S., and 1% in Canada. The species rates a 13 out of 20 on the Continental Concern Score. Red-headed Woodpecker is on the 2014 State of the Birds Watch List, which lists bird species that are at risk of becoming threatened or endangered without conservation action. The species is also listed as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red List.

Looking at the exif it only says lightroom so that makes your recovery even more amazing. Do you use anything else?

You didn't offend - and always glad to get critique. I just found the comments rather humorous after I stated the shots were pretty much lousy. I usually follow up Lightroom with PSE 11.

Lately I have been messing about with the free Nikon raw editor and I'm thinking the color rendition may be better than Lightroom's. With your well calibrated display, I would be curious what you think:
