it's a nice capture, the image is a bit underexposed

-Levels adjustment in Photoshop ,asked with original layer and added a little gaussian blur

I appreciate you taking the time but I processed the shot deliberately the way it turned out to show the Swan correctly exposed on dark water. Perhaps a difference in monitors makes it look wrong on yours?

Excellent shot Mark. As said the background looks a bit dark, but.......
I actually much prefer your rendition od it. The whites are exposed perfectly and the dark background shows off the swan and the late days sunshine. K to you
