Default Western Kingbird

Hello everyone. Well this year I had horrible luck trying to get a good shot of these birds. This following pic is the only decent shot I have of this bird from this year. I was waiting for a cotton tail rabbit to sprint across the road when this kingbird landed for a couple of seconds on a nearby perch.
C&C welcomed and encouraged.
Nikon 300s l Nikon 300F4 w/1.7 tc l ISO 640 l 1/1250 l F8 l Multi Segment l Manual l HH.

Hi Robert great shot, congrats on getting your Kingbird, there are several birds that elude my camera, like a Magpie and Robin in Europe and a Black Bush Robin here in Arabia, so I well understand how pleased you must have been to get the photo.

Congrats on the Kingbird Robert. I've never seen one before. Very nice pic!
Gotta love that 300 f4 too. I just reluctantly sold mine to get to 500mm.

Wonderful shot, interesting perch. Lucky too - thanks to the rabbit. Did it ever appear?

Nicely done Robert. I always tend to oversaturate my Western Kingbirds, but you have some beautiful tones in this image - really very nice

Very nice Robert, looks to be a young bird. Love the pose looking back.
