BEAUTIFUL birds and nice shots of them. Just don't park your car under a roosting tree after the flock has fed on those berries ... unless you want a red "paint" job!

Thanks very much for the kind words.
This was on a trail but funny enough two women where walking on the trail with umbrellas I should've taken a shot of them. I had the pleasure of meeting 3 photographers as well from the area I might head back tomorrow am to hopefully catch the blue heron, some sort of hawk I spotted, and there's definitely bald eagles there.

I did capture some shots of the heron but there well crap to sum it up too far away and too many bushes. The other photographer managed to get some crystal clear shots of the bird in flight after he got spooked
by me trying to get close to him.

Sounds like teamwork to me!

I only hunted deer on one occasion and I saw a buck go behind a tiny tree on top of a clear ridge. It was in range so I raised my rifle. Thinking it was getting away I let loose. I emptied the Winchester cowboy lever action I'd borrowed. I suspect the only problem the deer had from me was a case of loose bowels. But, when it went over the side of the ridge another hunter was there ... a real hunter ... who got it with one shot.

Because it was a small tree if I'd have just waited for it to appear on the other side I might have aimed properly. "Buck Fever" I found out it's called. In the long run I think I came out better missing as it's given me a good story and I didn't have to mess gutting the critter which I'm sure I'd NOT have a good memory of.

So get out there again and bring us back some photos AND a story ... you should not only have got a shot of the gals with the umbrellas, but maybe a short interview too.
