Default Killdeer from this morning's bird hunt

I had my first outing with the new 70-200. Here's the first two photos I've run thru PhotoShop. I REALLY like this lens.

I have this lens for a few months, and the only shortcoming I have found so far is it is not 400mm longer.

It's already cropped pretty close (should have used the 400mm + 1.4x, but it was back in the car). Looking at them now, I should have laid down in the sand to get a lower angle, but it was cold, damp and windy. It was low tide and I was near the shoreline, where the sand was saturated with water and slimy with algae. I'm thinking I should take a tarp with me to spread out so I can get low without getting wet.

Congrats on your new lens giving you nice results. I have the older model and its sharp like a razor, so the MkII will surely give you some amazing results.
