Default The Hummer and The Mantis

I decided a string of stills wouldn't be very interesting ...

Note: It may take awhile for this 4.5meg GIF to load and play

What do you think?

Mark

Funny!

A few weeks ago I was hitting the drivethrough at a Wendy's, and I stopped for a Mockingbird that was sitting in my way, about where my driver's side tires would roll. He would take a few steps forward, and quickly back up, and did this twice. He finally flew, but only as I drove past did I realize that there was a praying mantis there, in full battle stance, and it finally occurred to me what had been happening. The bird was wanting the mantis and the mantis went all KUNG FU on him and his aggression caused the Mockingbird to decide on finding something else.

Oh I thought LONGINGLY about how GREAT it would have been to have had a camera at the ready and caught the "standoff"!
