Hi to all, another afternoons visit to my favorite farm provided the following.

Starling, I dont like wire shots, but sometimes that all I can get.
Female Marsh Harrier, another encounter with this species, we now believe we have up to fifty on the small farm, unfortunately hunters are shooting them just for the kill, then just leave them on the ground where they drop.
Grey Francolin hidden in a bush.
Water Pipit, I was trying to drive slowly, stop and start, towards the Ruff and this little bird followed me and landed next to my vehicle three times.

A lovely series John. Really like the Harriers.
I haven't been able to stop thinking about the Gull with the rubber band on his beak... and now you bring us more tales of mindlessness by man - very sad.

Thanks guys for your kind comments. I had taken photos of three dead birds, I'm trying to decide if I should send my photos to the Friends of Enviroment office here in Doha. There is a notice outside the farm written in Arabic saying no shooting allowed. My only concearn is that they may once again lock the entrance gates to the farm and refuse us all access.

Nice images - the Marsh harrier and Frankolin are my favourites. What is it with people who indulge in disfunctional hunting? Dreadful - they even do it here when ours are well protected. (In theory)
Better you have no access than people shoot these birds - get those images off!
