Default First light for new lens + 1 new species shot

I haven't had much time with my new Canon 400mm f/5.6L (it arrived Wednesday) due to Thanksgiving and my wife's family reunion, which is going thru the weekend, but I did manage to get down to the beach for a while and got this Black-bellied Plover. Love this lens. I may have to sell the Tamron and get a Canon 70-300L.

These were taken with the 1.4x extender, focused manually.

Congrats on the L. Good shots but I really like the composition of the 2nd shot with the rock in the frame.

Very clean shots! Just from these two I might have to trade the kenko for a canon tc. Looking forward to more shots!
