Default Ladder-backed Woodpecker

Hello everyone. While out the other day trying to get a shot of a kesterl. This little showed up for a quick second. C&C welcomed and encouraged.
Camera - Nikon 300s, Lense - Nikon 300 F4, Exposure - 1/1000, Aperture - F8, ISO - 400, Focal Length - 300mm, Metering - Multi Segment, Manual.

Hi Robert, really a great shot, myself I would be more happy with a Woodpecker then a Kestrel, in my experiance, I find it more difficult to get a Woody shot.

WOW, that is spectacular!! That thorny branch just makes it for me!! The whole picture is incredibly tack sharp and that creamy bg is AWESOME!! Beautiful big and excellent composition. I love how the birds natural patterns in the feathers complement everything gong on in the rest of the image.. WELL DONE!
