The halo is not bad, in fact is barely noticeable. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I only brought it up as a “friendly” remark…

Halo’s are usually caused during the post process. For instance, did you during PP attempt to brighten the bird and darken the sky and then merge the two together? Did you use the Shadow/Highlight function in PS? Did you use a “Fill” function during your RAW conversion? There are a many ways for the halo to occur. Unfortunately it is a part of the process. But fortunately there are things like layers and brushes to get rid of them…
