We have enjoyed a three day holiday here in Arabia, here are a selection of the birds I managed to find on my outings.

Marsh Harrier female

Wood Warbler



Pale Rock Sparrow

Looking a little drab a female Isabellins Shrike

Another great series John! I am very envious of the variety you have access to! I think the Wheatear and the Yellow Wagtail are my favourites!

Hi Kevin thanks, many local birders complain at the lack of birds seen here compared to the UAE or especially in the Oman. We have no planned wetlands. I think wherever you are you need to get out and search as many different habitats as possible.

Thanks, local experts are now disputing my Wood Warbler saying the long tail makes it a Willow, witch if so means I loose a tick, I had it as a lifer. The yellow Wagtail is a female so not so Yellow but I was still pleased with my shot

Fantastic John.. You never seem to stop with the variety and quality in your photos.. The Wagtail and Woodchat need to be framed and on a wall
