Here is a before and after shot of a polar bear taken at a local zoo. The second photo is in the form of a painting. C&C welcomed

I find myself being draw to (or distracted by) the black void behind the bear, since the DOF is relatively deep. You might want to try a square-crop, leaving the negative space currently on the left of the image untouched this seems a bit more engaging, since the bear is also looking to the left kinda makes me wonder, "what is he looking at?".
