Yes, first rework is the best Shortie. Sometimes the warmth of the skin tones overrides the more accurate colouring, as it does here. It's a lovely portrait.

Another vote for the first one.
I like what you did to get the distractions out of the frame. It allows us to focus on the beauty of this little one.
Thanks for the post.

I agree with everyone the first crop is the better of the two. Although I love the fact that she does have paint on her fingers it makes it more real for me because she is just a "kid" and kids have those types of things. I love the fact that you left it on her hands. Sometimes it just works for the pic. It looks like she is saying "What else am I going to paint next once I'm done with dinner" Love her expression. Great pic.

Hi Guys "n" Gals

Just a quick update

I sent this in to a local Comp with two other Pics which I dont have with me at the moment, with the prize being a years modling contract

And Guess what we have 4 catwalk sessions today and another four tomorow and there are only four kids who got through two from each age group so I am fairly high at the moment, e.g. 4 for the whole county of Wiltshire

So I would just like to say thanks to every one on getting me this far - just hope Harriet can do the honours now

Thanks again

Shortie

Hiya Shortie,

I took a stab at enhancing the photo of your daughter. I brightened the image, but softened her cheekbones
to eliminate the harshness brightening adds. I also cleaned her hands of what appears to have been some sort of
paint. I wanted to pull her further out of the background, without losing any the subtle tones in the original
photo. Below are your original and the enhanced copy.

By the way, she's a beauty....

My best

C. Jordan
