Cascading knickknack shelf - interesting idea, and clearing the music rack and keyboard cover to use the piano again to play music would take a minute or so, plus the presence of a suitable musician, of course. Clearing the rack is optional and is necessary only if sheet music would be needed for the performance.

That is just a sampling - the wife has got anything that will hold a picture totally filled with kids, grandkids, and great grand kids, and if she can find any other space then other peoples's kids. Here is a sample of "her space"

How's this for a gift idea for your wife for any suitable occasion or even "just because"?

Sounds like she has the makings of a pictorial family tree here. I created one of those when I was invited so a friend's family party once. I cropped digital pictures - you can scan prints if necessary - I had taken at the party and laid them out with lines connecting the pictures, circular crop for the females, square for the males. To keep the areas of the pictures about the same, the diameter of each circle was nine units; the side of each square, eight units. I had three generations to work with and managed to fit the whole thing onto a single piece of legal-sized paper, laying the whole thing out including cropped pictures, connecting llnes, and names, in Corel Draw. I would have printed it out bigger if my printer had been capable of doing so. You may be able to export it and have someone else print it or print it as a series of overlapping tiles.
