Default Re: Memory

I haven's seen any magnetic core memory in a long time. The horizontal and vertical are write wires through which half the amount of current to change the magnetization direction of the core. For the one core. The cores are such that only one half the current won't change the magnetization but the combined currents will, if the core isn't magnetized in that direction already. The diagonal wire is the read wire. If the core's direction of magnetization does change. it will produce an electrical pulse in this wire. The core is then rewritten after it has been read.
