Default Milky Way Galaxy from Australia

Morning All,
I went out bush a little way and plonked down my tripod. I had always wanted a fisheye so have recently purchased a Canon EF8-15mm f/4L Fisheye lens to match my Canon 5DMk2.
Levelling the tripod and pointing the camera straight up gave the following results.

a)

b)

d)

e)

f)

Very nice! That last shot is interesting, in an artistic way, but my fave is #2.

i don't know, first and third shots look more like a cat's eye to me than a fish eye. sorry, i'll stop with the bad jokes. beautifully done, i like the detail you've captured in the milky way.

Thank you very much. It's surprising what can be captured in a short 30 unguided exposure...

I really like your fish-eye effect, it is strange and disorienting to see it from this viewpoint.
