Nice!

I took some tonight as well, still on the card...and I'm a little apprehensive on looking at them.

How did you have your camera setup to get the nice evening sky without blowing out the fireworks? Was there any PP to this (besides cropping/framing).

PP was all camera raw minor touch ups. If you want in the AM when I process the rest I would put together a small tutorial to follow with all the setting's and a small cheat card to bring along with you. I would do it now but it's 11:32PM my time Im going to bed see you in the morning Check here around 11am.

Looks like you had real nice light for them and a beautiful area, good work. Just looked through mine, they didn't start here until 10:30 so it was pitch black but I got some nice abstract fireworks, not nearly as pretty as this though,

Josh, it's beautiful! It's a great spot, with that river there. Next time, what if you tried vertical orientation of the image? There might be "stuff" in the way that prevents you from doing it (riverbank, parking lot, etc), but if you could capture the entire reflection, it would put this over the top. As it is, it's still one of the nicest fireworks pictures I've seen, and I think it's because you have the horizon in it. I love that.

Thanks Field guide posted Above it really doesn't matter on the light conditions whether it's too dark or still light out to capture the fireworks now the sky is a different story. But adjusting your Fstop and also depending on how long you hold the shutter release cable will bring in some of the sky. Also I forgot to mention in the field guide Shoot RAW so you can enhance the image should you need to.

Thank you so much I thought about that but the thing was I was standing on the bridge and this bridge has as rail huge blocks of concrete that are 1ft or more in width so either I would have to raise the tripod higher to the point I wont see the screen and also the higher you go the more subjective to vibrations from cars & pedestrian traffic on the bridge. But hey I have until Tuesday yup every night till then it will be fireworks baby. I have about 10 firework shows all within 20 mile radius 2 of which now will be within 5 miles of my residence LOL.

If any of you guys take some shot's please post them on this thread I would like to see this area of the forums pick up some steam

Lovely image, Josh.

Obviously we don't celebrate July 4th here.

But here are a couple from Bonfire Night which is on 5th November.
