Thanks wolf. It is always interesting to watch winter return to the Rockies.

Thanks also for the Karma. It is greatly appreciated.

Week 38 - Clouds in the Mountains.

This image intrigued me because it shows a lower layer of cumulus clouds being over ridden by a layer of cirrus clouds. The shape of the cirrus clouds makes it look like they are almost exploding over the cumulus.

This was shot with a 5D IV and a 24-105L IS II lens. Processing was in Lightroom CC.

As usual, comments and questions are welcome.

Nice shots of the termination dust and the Alstroemeria WG. Winter is on our doorstep here also. We expect snow (that sticks) within the next two weeks.

An interesting shot WG.
The two different cloud formations give it an almost 3D look.

Thanks, glad you liked them. We just had our first taste of winter, but it will melt in the next few days, nothing permanent yet, but it is coming .

Week 39 - Preparing for winter

Getting ready for winter. Hay has been harvested and baled so that the farmer will have feed for his cattle for the winter.

What intrigued me about this situation was the rather "random" arrangement of the bales in the field. Usually, the bales are laid out to reflect the "harvest" rows of the hay as the baler has followed these paths during the baling process.

Shot with my 5D IV and a 24-105L IS II lens. Processing was done in Lightroom and Nik's HDR Efex Pro 2 (HDR 5 images).

As usual, comments and questions are welcome.
