Week 25 - a variation on spinning windmills.

My previous windmill images were usually shot with an ND filter and a long exposure giving an image where the blades just disappeared into a blur. As a lot of you know, I love to experiment, so I thought I would try something different. I set my 5D IV with a 24-105mm L IS lens, up on a tripod to take a time sequence of images, hoping that each one would show a slightly different position for each of the three blades. I then combined these in Photoshop to produce the following image.

As usual, questions and comments are welcome.

Week 26 - The Sunflowers are blooming

One of my nearby communities maintains a very extensive floral garden where I spend some of my days photographing the flowers. I was there on the weekend and the sunflowers had just started to blossom.

Shot with my 5D IV and a 100mm Macro lens. Processing was done in Lightroom CC.

As usual, comments and questions are welcome.

I swore I commented on your posts the other day, but my comments seems to have vanished. I think I used my small tablet while on the road, so who knows where the comment went.

Anyway, nice shots for weeks #25 & #26 WG. I'm sure you probably confused a lot of wind power enthusiasts...or gave them blade envy.

Thanks wolf. One of the things I like about the IR590 conversion is the way it renders skies with a channel swap, etc.

Week 28 - Old meets new

I thought this juxtaposition of the old farm house and barn against the new windmill presented an interesting contrast.

Shot with my Canon 5D III and a 24-105mmL IS II lens.
