Thanks Pete.
It was quite windy along the beaches for sure.

A great set of photos for week 3, Wolf.
Thanks for the info on Kauri gum. They look a lot like Amber gemstone. It is nice to see that large collection and that tree was really huge.
Those beach babes looked very happy to pose for you, nice capture.
Those are very nice beach photos. It appears that no one told you to go fly a kite while you photographed.
There are indeed some weird and interesting rocks to look.
Cheers, Murray

Another set of beautiful images for week 4, Wolf.
The are some beautiful rich colors in the water, earth, sky, and vegetation.
Those folks in ph6 were wise to bring a selfie stick with them, as was the dude in ph8.
Ph 9 suggests that water front is great for surfers.
Ph10 is a magnificent image shot from an excellent POV.
Ditto for ph11.
Those gannets in ph12 are beautiful birds. Nice close-ups.
Wow, that "blowhole" is amazing. There certainly are some incredible rock formations in NZ.
Nice capture in that local bar. That's a really cool bit of artistry and craft hanging from the ceiling. I think they need one of my bottle lamps.
Cheers, Murray

Thanks very much for your words of encouragement Murray. Appreciated.
I was also amazed by those beautiful Kauri gum artifacts and to learn the history of that stuff. Those Kauri trees are also VERY straight so they were heavily sought after for sailing ship construction and masts. A lot of small logging towns sprang up around NZ to harvest and export the logs. The trees are now protected as there are not many Kauri forests left.
Those strange looking rock formations made me wonder about how they would have been formed as well.

Thanks for your kind words Murray. Appreciated.
It seems the new breed of tourists mandatory travel equipment is a Smartphone and selfie stick.
While we enjoyed our 3 1/2 week visit there and saw lots of interesting sights, in hindsight we should have stayed longer as we ran out of time and didn't get to see many of the things on our list.
Makes for a good excuse to go again next year.
Perhaps when I go again I should take along a catalog of your bottle lamps and start marketing them?
