Tom, it looks like Round 3 is off to a great start. Nice wedding shots - not something I would even pretend to know how to do.

Not sure I know how to do them either WG, but I give it my best shot and I seem to help everyone have fun.

I couldn't planned this so well!
The tallest guy and the shortest girl caught the garter and bouquet!
I thought it made for a very fun photo.

Thanks Bobby.
I hear that the foolish are often confused as the brave.

Honestly though. I had a hard time getting the swing of it all this time. It has been a good bit since I've tackled a wedding and the thoughts and ideas weren't flowing as smoothly as they should have been. I forgot or missed several shots and many I made camera sittings mistakes on.

I'm not sure if my (limited) wedding shooting skills were just rusty or if it was because I had a cold kicking in along with some lower back pain. I had both bothering me a good bit, but couldn't cancel on the couple. The back pain is gone, but the cold is really kicking my butt right now.

It's really a shame too, because it was really a simple but fantastic wedding. The young couple and their families are really wonderful people. They were fun loving country folks with very strong religious beliefs. They were an attractive young couple too. It was a bit disappointing that there were now dance shots, but an alcohol free reception was a refreshing change.

Honestly, I would have felt bad about my performance as a photographer if it weren't for the fact that they wouldn't have had one at all if it weren't for me volunteering to do the job.

I missed several standard shots.
I didn't get good white balance settings.
My camera settings were off for many photos, resulting in lost and hard to recover shots.
I failed to make many posing and hair/wardrobe corrections.

On the other hand, I did manage to document their wedding and get several decent shots. I think I also managed to add to the fun of the event and help relax a nervous young couple.

Thanks Mark.
It was my favorite as far as behavior and attitude of the couple, family, and guests.
It's probably my least favorite as far as my photography went.

you did a great job on the wedding, especially when it's not something that you do regularly. The couple was very lucky to have you volunteer your time and talents. There are many good memories captured in your photos - and in the end, that's probably the most important element to have.
