Hey have any of you Canadians heard of this: Playing God with the atmosphere - the 'Shield Project'
I posted this picture on my FaceBook page and some guy started talking about ozone replenishing planes. Said he heard about it and saw it in the papers in Canada. Said he even saw a tv special. I counted 19 different planes at one time, really wierd for Parker.

No Amy, I haven't heard of this project: Playing God with the Atmosphere - the 'Shield Project'. That does not mean that it doesn't exist, just that I have not heard of it. I find "ozone replenishing planes" a little hard to understand, maybe it is possible, maybe not. As someone with a small background in chemistry, at one time, I am not quite sure how this would work. I do know that insurance companies in Alberta, where I live, pay money each year for a team to watch the summer thunderstorms and then they seed them to try and prevent large hail from happening, but that has nothing to do with "ozone". In the past few years, large hail in summer thunderstorms has cause hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage to homes, greenhouses and new cars in dealer's lots. This hail can get up to 25-40mm in diameter and can actually hurt you should you be unlucky to get caught in it. Fortunately, these storms are very few and very far between. We still have a large dent in our mailbox from one that hit last summer.

Anyway, enough about that - to the topic at hand - nice shot of the sunset. I don't usually like to see airplane contrails in such images, but the fact that you have so many, makes this an interesting image. I would almost think that you could sell this one to a magazine, not sure which one, but one that deals with meteorology, or atmospheric things might be interested. You never know.

I have found more info under "Operation Cloverleaf" Lots of weird conspiracy stuff, can't believe I've never heard anything about this. The guy that told me about it is a pretty straight forward kind of guy.

Nice sunset shot with all the jet trails, Amy.

I have never heard of the project Playing God with the Atmosphere - the 'Shield Project' either. I was able to find some interesting information on the project at this link:
