108: A dying Brown Recluse spider at 1:1 and then some crop. Not dead just yet but the end was very near for this adult female brown recluse. Notice the apparent damage on the right side of her abdomen? In the process of trying to capture her she fell about 6 feet from a light fixture box to the concrete sidewalk and she was never the same after that. I'm guessing she was about at the end of her life cycle anyway.

A superb spider closeup Paul.

These things give me the creeps. I see them all the time but due to their nasty reputation I'm never 100% comfortable working in a home, or business if I know they are present. I should add that it's difficult to reference size with a macro shot but this recluse was one of the largest ones I've come into close contact with. Paul.

109: This has to be the weirdest spider I've ever captured. I think it's called a spiny back orb weaver. It was in a typical looking orb weaver web when I spotted it and I used a 33+ black tape container to capture it. Having plenty of trouble lighting it correctly to show the eyes and not blowout the body. Paul

#110: A seed pod. After the spiders this one is a real snoozer.

A couple of nice shots Paul, esp the spider.
I have not seen one of those before.

I've seen plenty of pictures of these by other photographers but I've never seen one myself until this one.
