Congratulations on finishing your third 365 and starting your fourth, Wolf. We have seen the grandkids group before our eyes!!!
Love the Zebra finches, Cordon Blues and the red-headed Lady Gouldian Finches. They have lovely colors and their songs are beautiful.

The entire sequence is very good. I am as someone else said particularly drawn to number one. Truely a nicely composed capture.

Super Congrats on the competition of your third 365 and the beginning of your 4th!! On top of that your first postings are spectacular, especially the birds! Before my wife passed away she had over 40 parrots and other birds that I inherited. Unfortunately, I was unable to care for all of them and work full time too, so had to sell them off. I kept 8 of them, but when I became sick I had to sell them as well.
Good luck with this next endeavor, my friend!

Thank you for your kind remarks, Rust. Appreciated.
You're right about how quickly the grandkids have grown - going back to posts for my first 365 sure made me realize how fast time flies.
BTW - you sure know your birds Rust !!

Thanks for your kind comments and wishes George. Appreciated.
The closest I came to having a flock of birds was in my early teens my brother and I used to raise (and race), racing pigeons. We had about 40 of them in a huge coop in the back yard and those amazing birds used to fly a distance of 540 miles from Weed California to Vancouver BC in a single day.

Loving your new start! Some great images you have.
I would love the opportunity to see all those birds...we used to have some parrots.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of your year

Thank you for your kindly comments Taigen. Going into that Conservatory is almost like stepping into the tropics - a very satisfying experience especially when it is wintry outside.

Congratulations on beginning year #4 and thanks for leaving some bread crumbs to follow at the end of year #3, Wolf. Speaking of bread crumbs, birds and a forest are a great way to start Feb 24.
The QE Park scene is lovely but I think in the case of photo1, the snow is a bit grungy and could use a little brightening. One of the primary functions of HDR programs is to perform some amount of tonal inversion - brighten the shadows while darkening the highlights. Sometimes they apply a little to strong an inversion so that delicate whites shift to gray and look a little grungy.
I really like the composition / POV of photo2.
Photo3 is a good capture of the HMS Slushbuster.
The Bloedel Observatory looks like a wonderful biodome. I like the candids especially photo5 &5a. The red beaked bird in 5a appears to have found a comfortable new nest.
All those flowers are beautiful. Wouldn't it be nice to have that kind of controlled atmosphere in our homes to be able to grow such exotic species.
Those birds are totally beautiful and there appears to be a very diverse and colorful population representing an exceptional opportunity for a photographer. And you don't need to lug around 50 lbs worth of telephoto lenses. You're going to make your buddies in the Bird Forum envious.
Well, year four is off to a great start, Wolf. I look forward to watching you outdo yourself once again.
Cheers, Murray

Thanks for your congratulatory comments and in depth comments of my latest images, Murray.
I have made some adjustments in AutoHDR re your comment for photo #!. (see below).
I like going into that Conservatory and fantasize that I am in a tropical rain forest.

I had to get back into a 365 otherwise I would go stir crazy if I didn't get out and shoot some photos each day.

Feb. 25, 2014

After several cool, damp & snowy days our local weather improved and while there was some fog in the morning it slowly lifted as the day progressed.

Took a quick look around Vancouver's False Creek area. This dome is known as Telus Science World. (Pseudo HDR)
